Sweet / spicy salami
Description: Pure pork meat salami, medium ground and preserved in pig intestine, hand tied with natural twine in a horseshoe shape.
Properties: Red colour from the presence of pepper and chilli. Medium ground with little fat which is well distributed throughout the salami. Firm consistency, typical flavour of salami from Basilicata. Soft but not chewy when sliced. The level of spice does not overshadow the typical character but gives it a decisive flavour.
Ingredients: Pork, salt, ground sweet pepper from Senise (IGP), chilli (spicy salami only)
How to consume: Once removed from its packaging, the product is best left at room temperature (15-18°c) to allow its natural flavour to come through.
